To old friends and new opportunities

Today we let go the last big batch of former Insurance.com employees. This was the fifth big round. At this point we're almost used to it; numb to it.The good thing is that most (though not all unfortunately) have already found new jobs. There was some financial incentive to stay around until the end for everyone that was going to lose their jobs.Everyone that I talked to that had already found a job is getting paid around the same, if not more than, ICOM. There's a silver lining -- made of real silver. The sad part is watching your friends leave.

May the road rise to meet you,May the wind be always at your back.May the sun shine warm upon your face,The rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again,May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.-- Old Irish toast

I'm sure you will all be well. It's hard to go through, but it's an opportunity to make things even better! To all of you -- keep in touch!
