85 Years of Movies at the Cedar Lee

The Cedar-Lee Theatre celebrated their 85th anniversary. They re-showed the first movie that they showed -- at the same price as back then: $0.25.Being in Rocky Horror I get to see back stage. The old screen from the Vaudeville era, likely the one that Gold Rush was presented on 85 years ago, is still there back. This was back in the time that it was a single-screen movie house with a stage in front of the screen. Some time after they opened they put up a bigger screen covering up the original. Then in the 90s they split the theater in two covering up that one as well.Today, they had a digital version of the same movie presented in theater 1. The new half-size screen is still bigger than the original screen from ages past. And it was digital.I would've liked to have seen the original film though -- with a pianist.
