W8DFL QSL Cards - 2/14/2011

We have another good crop of cards today -- mainly from Great Britain this time around.But before getting to that, let's get to some history with this card from FL8MM:You can't get FL8 calls any more. FL8 used to be French Somaliland. (Hence the F in there) This has since turned into the nation that goes by the same name as the city Maga resided it: Djibouti. It got its independence from France in 1977, five years after the QSO.Another interesting one is a SWL card:http://photos.vec.com/VictorBambeckQSL-W8DFL/QSL-Cards/BRS427/1186951325_zNp8x-XL.jpg1933. Back when cars still had magnetos. Magnetos are old-school ignition for engines. Very simple and reliable. It's still used for aviation engines.Another cool pair are the two from G3BID:
