Tula primers - Part 2

I shot another box and a half of the 9mm with the Tula primers. This time I seated the primers with a bit more force than last time.I am happy to report that they all worked successfully! If I had to make a guess why the last batch wasn't consistent I'd say the anvil of the primer wasn't attached to the primer cup as well as other manufacturers. The way this works is primer material gets squeezed between anvil and the primer cup and that sets off the chain of events. If the primer isn't seated all the way typically what happens is the first primer strike shoves it in more and the second one makes it go off. My hypothesis is that the first primer strike just dislodges the anvil. Couple that to it being a bit harder to seat and you see the origin of the problem. But it seems if I'm diligent enough in seating them then they seem to work fine.
