Monopoly

At work at Amazon I walk past a poster for the game Monopoly.

This, in and of itself isn't too shocking. I'm working right nearby the Android App Store folks and this is a game you can buy yourself. Please do in fact if you happen to have an Android! (Yep, shillin' for the home team!)But like I was saying, that's not the point.Looking at the etymology of the word monopoly, it comes from "mono" meaning one, and "polein" which is Greek for "to sell." Essentially, a monopoly is when you have a single seller. So, back to the point... I read it as "mono" and "poly.""Mono," again meaning one. Then "poly," meaning many.Go figure.
