HDCP, How I Hate Thee

In the mix between my TiVo, Receiver, and TV something suddenly changed. When I turn on the system now I have a 90% chance that something doesn't sync. Now, I'm not 100% sure that it's HDCP... but it certainly smells like it. The same hardware that was working before now doesn't work reliably. Now I've swapped cables, components, etc...Let me take a step back -- HDCP is High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. It's a hair-brained encryption system that encrypts the bits that are going over the HDMI cable. Of course, everything needs to sync the encryption keys. Now I'm using component instead of HDMI and while things are working, I'm now getting some interference, but at least I have a picture.Without HDCP I'm fairly certain things would be working.
