First Thanksgiving Away

Today was an odd day. It's the first time that either En or I were away from our families for Thanksgiving.Ennie made an awesome dinner -- turkey with all the trimmings. Did I mention it was awesome?It would have been more awesome with more people around.Right now neither of us have enough vacation time to go back to Cleveland for any real length of time. En has all of 10 hours at the moment. (!) While friends and family are important, you can't reasonably spend a day traveling for a few hours of face time.

The goal is to get some friends here -- not to replace those from a few time zones east -- but to have the opportunity to share time with here. We're slowly making friends here... Hopefully next year's post will be thankful for them.
