Hanging out with a friend she had something trigger some bad memories in her.
Those memories brought out feelings. Feelings are just that — you can’t do anything but to feel them. I suppose that’s the only thing you can do with them. Or at least should do with them — I guess you can just shove them down inside hoping they don’t come out.
Caring is another feeling.
A feeling of empathy.
Comforting. That’s an activity to convey another feeling. The feeling that you care for them and care what they themselves are feeling.
It’s holding up a mirror.
The simple act of acknowledging feelings is, in many ways, the only thing you can do. They are real. They shouldn’t be pushed down.
It’s just being human.
