Discovery Park in the Winter - 2013

Today was a fine, if a bit chilly, day to go for a walk in the park.It was also a nice opportunity to try out the new glass as well!Yes, cliché I know... but it's still fun taking a picture less than a foot from someone's now enormous schnoz.400mm coming in handy. 600 or even 800 would've been handier I have to say, but I'm not going to buy that.If you look closely (might require clicking though) it's interesting to see how the seeing affect the picture quality far more than the lens itself. The distortion you're seeing is purely atmospheric. Also, Seattle has a Goodtime II as well!  :-POne of the old lighthouse-keepers' residences. I liked the look of the slightly decayed paint and the nice and fresh looking shrub for contrast. Inside it's empty, but outside it looks like someone just moved out.Rainier with Magnolia (left) and West Seattle (right) in the foreground. The docks back there are the ones I look the pictures of the shipping oops.

Not at all artsy, but I found it amusing. There was some tagging on the wall. They painted over it. Now the new tagging is staying quite nicely inside the lines. Someone learned coloring!
