A few days ago I wrote about my Garmin not updating maps when a new one came out.
Of course tech support was closed until today — when I called in a lull at work.
Sure enough the tech I talked to, Tim, looked at it and quickly noticed the problem. It was quickly determined it was, as I suspected, to be a back-end problem with the database and he would need to open a ticket to fix it.
“We have this system where I can enter a trouble ticket and…”
I had to cut him off since I had just come off of my shift of on-call.
“I’m usually on the other end of the tickets.”
We had a good laugh about that.
The good thing is they definitely see the problem as something on their end and they’re working on fixing it… hopefully before the next update. :-)
