All went well. Like I said, the valves were spot on. Not a whole lot of oil spilled. All was well.
I was backing the bike up to get it back to the street when my left foot lost its footing. Moments after that the bike followed.
Nothing got damaged on the bike because everything is so well protected on it. Nothing even got scuffed as it sat 90º from its usual stance lying on its left pannier.
All I got was a minor scrape on my leg.
And a bit of humility instilled into me. It’s good to have that drilled into you every once in a while. I managed to get it this time without really paying for it at all. The lesson that you really need to be paying attention all the time is an important one. It’s something that get away from you now and then.
