There’s nothing quite like getting on your machine and having it tell you that your drive isn’t writable.

Checking the mount info they’re shown as read/write, but theory and practice don’t need to align as much.

I was able to get enough of my work off, but even after an fsck it was still crap.

Off to support to get a new machine.

And spend the rest of the day setting things back up and getting back to exactly where I was before all of this started.

I think it’s been dying for a while now. There’s been plenty of small random issues that have only affected my machine and no one else on the team. I think it’s been on a slow death-march and finally today it gave up the ghost.
