I was out in LA for most of the week. Ok, technically it was Irvine in Orange County, but it’s plenty close enough.

I don’t like southern California much. I didn’t like it before, and the feelings remain the same. There’s way too many cars and way to little green space.

I’m not really talking about green as in manicured lawns. Much is brown due to the drought. But the places that would be green if they only had the chance.

It felt like a Cleveland that wasn’t as dead as it was when we left. You’re useless without a car.

As more and more time passes, the more I’m really just that much happier in Seattle. I like the density. I like the weather. I like the attitude.

I like to walk — but not adjacent to a 10-lane road.
