No skin in the game

A friend and I watched the Monday night football game between the Bengals and the Broncos. Other than an undying hatred of the Broncos we didn't have any skin in the game.But it turned out to be a good game regardless. It didn't end the way that I would have wanted it to, you know with Cincinatti winning. But sometimes you really do get a good evenly matched game and it's just fun to watch.This of course applies to mor than just football, but really any competition. A good game is just fun to watch.Sometimes more so when you don't really care about the outcome for real. Just watching the competition for the sake of it.And again, I do have to profess my everlasting hatred of all things Denver Bronocos. See also: The Drive and The Fumble.
