The idea of reporting of facts is a premise of what our society is, or at least should be, based upon. Without freely disseminated information all you have left is here say and conjecture. Many facts you would rather not hear about. Some facts make you uncomfortable. Some make you angry. Some make you cry.All of them are facts. Facts are. The right answer to seeing or hearing something uncomfortable isn't to shout it down, but rather to collaborate to see how it can be fixed so whatever is making you feel bad in some way can be remedied. Some facts you can disagree with. That's a good start of a discussion and the base to dive deeper into the issue.Other facts stand alone. An un-doctored photograph, for the most part, is one of those facts. (Yes, you can tell lies with unmolested pictures, but that's not what this is about) If a photograph makes you uncomfortable, advocating that it's not shown is categorically not the right behavior.Brushing it under the table prevents the debate. It prevents the feelings. It's nothing more than a band-aid to make the agsty party think they feel better. Think that they've done something by suppressing a fact.None of that has occurred. The facts are. Even if you don't like them, they exist.
