There are those times when you have a choice to make. Those times when you have two options — one has a downside, the other has the same downside, no more, but guaranteed.
If you’re in that spot it behooves you to choose the one that has the potential of a downside rather than the one in which the downside is a foregone conclusion.
That’s my thinking anyway.
Something maybe going wrong is always better that something always going wrong — assuming of course that the wrongs are equivalently bad.
