Naming of places - What3Words

I was introduced to a service that comes up with names of places. Not naming things anything sensible really, but naming the coordinates of everywhere on the planet.What3Words has broken up the world into three-by-three meter squares and gave each of them a three word name. So, I'm sitting at pots.ground.garage right now. The thought behind all this is that words are a lot easier to communicate between people than latitude and longitude for GPS. They use common, "good," words for populated places, and less common words for places like the oceans of the world. Yes, even the oceans have named spots. It's a pretty cool way of going about things. If it catches on is another question, but it's an interesting way to break things up in a different way.
