USS Stennis - Coming Home

While walking away from the lighthouse yesterday the lighthouse keepers motioned to the Sound.Sailing by was an aircraft carrier!"It's one of the Coast Guard carriers," they joked.It's actually USS Stennis sailing back to her home port of Bremerton after having left more than half a year ago on January 15th.It's just cool to see something that big. She's 1092 feet long and 252 feet wide. Amazing.She didn't have any planes on her deck, but it's stunning to see something that that big.
