It’s been almost exactly a year since I’ve ordered my Leica. Back then there were rumors that it would get an upgrade within a few weeks after I purchased my camera.

The rumors are running rampant again.

The question that’s in my head is “should I upgrade?”

I know eventually I’ll want an upgrade, but is that time now?

I’m interested in what’s new, but at the same time, I’ve never been happier with my camera than I am now. It’s a funny position to be in, honestly.

Even new lenses — for some reason I’m happy with my set. Truth be told, I tend to use the first two lenses I got with the camera the most. (Which, unsurprisingly, is why I got the 35 and 50 1.4’s first)

Do I need a titanium-coated Leica? No. Do I need an M typ 240 with no LCD? No. Do I need more megapixels? Not really.

Do I want more dynamic range and higher ISO? Well, that might get me to upgrade… but I can hold off since I’m happy and I don’t feel limited in any way right now.
