No one wants to be on call for work, especially when you’re new on a system.

The thing is that there is no better way to learn than to just getting shoved into the deep end of the pool.

So I’m on call for the first time for the new team… thankfully it’s only for the day portion so I can ask questions since there’s bugger-all I know about how to fix things in this new system. But, like I said, learning is easiest when you need to do something real.
