The mic cover -- results!

Yesterday I posted about designing a mic cover. Since then I printed one out! I had the printer in "draft" mode with a layer size of 0.2mm. Even then it took 14 hours to print out the 3.2" cube.

But, when you compare it to the rendering, it's not too far off!

It looks like the sun logo is standing a bit proud of the edges... so be it.

Next Ennie's going to fill it with an open-cell foam and carve space out for the stick mic to sit in. The end result should look like one of those official looking mics you see on the news sometimes.

That's the plan at least.
