Delicate Arch

Delicate Arch is typically full of people all lining up to get under the arch so it's hard to take a picture without all of the people in the shot.

Several of us photographers got a bit frustrated at this. Then one of them, a guy from France if I had to guess at the accent, decided to try behind the arch. It looked more than a bit dodgy as he clambered on a 45-degree incline off to the side (with a 30-foot drop if you slip) but then I realized it's sandstone and it's like walking on coarse sandpaper. When we go to the other side the drop became much bigger if you slipped too far down. A couple of hundred feet to the bottom of the cliff is my estimation.

But no people.
