Air Conditioning

Seattle is about to have a hot spell.

Mid-90ºs.

The thing is most of Seattle lacks AC. Seattle has a temperate climate for most of the year. It rarely snows. It rarely gets overly hot. Therefore, most houses don't have air conditioning. You don't need it for 360 days out of the year.

When my house was built 111 years ago AC wasn't a thing. You built a house with adequate windows and oriented the right way. You also had a basement to retreat to if things really got out of hand.

Newer construction lacks basements for the most part. They also lack AC in many cases.

Nothing to do really, I suppose. Draw a cold bath or something?

The basement might get some added use for us here.
