Thirteen

I’ve talked about triskaidekaphobia before on here... the United flight from Newark to Cleveland is taking this to the next level. The last time I was on a plane looking at the row numbers they skipped 13 and 14 as well to, I suppose, assuage the fears of the superstitious.United upped the ante as you'll see.The rows on this plane go: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 20, 21, 22, ...After 20 the numbers seem to behave the way numbers tend to do in nature, each one more than the previous one.United did the courageous thing like Microsoft and Apple and skipped the nine.If you actually count them out they’ve converted the unlucky 13 and transformed it into lucky number 21. The row labeled 21 is actually the 13th row on the plane! The paranoid have a lucky number to balance out the evil 13.I'm actually kind of pleased with this. It took a lot of work to figure this out by someone at the airline.I tried taking an iPhone video, but it's blurry as heck due to me rushing out of the plane in low light. I can post it anyway if people want.
