Few things in life are static — the world, and we who wander it, is in an everpresent state of change.

You think you know something or someone, and before you know it some of those attributes have changed. We must be vigilant to see these changes and allow ourselves to let go of previous ideas and perceptions.

Some things, obviously, are pretty permanent. But a great many of the soft things — those dictated by the squishy things between our ears especially — change. Perceptions change. Ideas evolve. Growth happens.

Embrace the impermanence and the flitting nature. Don’t rely on the stasis.
