Sitting in the Shanghai Room just walking distance from us watching Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown” with a crowd of people — awesome.
The bar we were at (with some amazing food, BTW) was featured a bit in the show today. They were talking to a former detective about serial killers in Washington. Whatevs. But they were where we were.
I think I was stting where he was.
Yeah. Totes fanboyism. Bite me.
I have a soft spot for Tony. He seems to be a good guy and a good producer / director. It takes more than you think to cut together 40 minutes of footage into something that’s watchable. He seems to share the bit of anarchy that I like.
And the cheer as the clip from the joint we were in… that was fun. :-)
We love Bourdain in our house too.
I liked “No Reservations” better than “Layover” and haven’t gotten to see much of “Parts Unknown” since we don’t have cable.
I love his snark, I love his attitude, I love that he eats all sorts of weird-ass stuff without making it into a “bizzarre foods” show (“OMG look at this crazy thing I’m eating” Andrew Zimmern is an ass).
