When I was together with Lita I took lots of pictures. It’s what I do, it’s how I get my art fix.

I posted them yesterday. Later that day I got pinged on behalf of the Seattle Times. Today KIRO7 called me to use them.

Talking to my friend Jackie, and another photographer as well, afterward we started chatting about photographs amidst death. It’s not always the perfect portrait that captures the essence of a person, sometimes it’s the ones that have flaws.

People are imperfect. People do silly things.

But that’s exactly what makes us all human.

The imperfections. The flaws.

Photographs are important. Sometimes more important than I would have imagined.
