There’s something cool about having some background knowledge on some obscure subject. I’m running into that with work. The obscure subject in this case is “photography.”
So, you say that photography isn’t obscure. And you’d be right, of course.
But this isn’t just plain photography, it’s more about the technology of the photography combined with the economics of various camera systems.
As it turns out I’ve been immersed in this for well over half of my life; way back in the film days and all that.
But the physics of how photography works hasn’t changed much at all for the past half-century. Ok, the physics haven’t changed an iota, but we have introduced computers in the mix to help tease out the physics of how the lenses work.
Yeah… sometimes, just maybe, all of the random information you hold up in your noggin might come in handy. :-D
