Hiking out to Falcon Point on the Oregon coast is pretty magical.

Jackie and I did the hike and we just sat there out by ourselves for a good half hour before anyone else even came our way.

It wasn’t an overly long or arduous hike, but it seems that on a Monday in November it’s not a hike that happens often, not even on Veterans’ Day.

But there we were. On the cliff looking down over the Pacific Ocean with nothing between us and nothing. Off to the side (above) you can see where we’re staying: Manzanita.
