As the day of reckoning comes closer, I think we really need to start firming up the timeline.
Realistically, it looks like we should be listing our house here when we get a house purchased in elsewhere (likely Nashville by all accounts). The gating condition for that is to actually get out to Nashville to talk to a realtor and scope out the area. So if we were to make an offer on a house there, it would take at least a month or so to close on the house.
This takes us up to something in the February timeframe.
While this is later than I was expecting, I honestly think that this will be more than offset by the historic market cycles of listing a bit later in the year.
So that right there is the current timeline.
On the upside, that gives us more time to get things fixed up here in Seattle!
