Ever since we had the inspection on the 2000 Shaw house I've had a hair trigger on problems that manifest in my current house.
Under this now sanded drywall patch is some paper tape covering a crack that came from the apex of the triangle cutout. I didn't use any pre-mixed drywall compound, I used some 20-minute quick-set...
I used paper since it's stronger than the alternatives.
I used quickset since I wanted to paint it early tomorrow morning.
I'm just happy that I can do stuff that I've never done before.
