When we moved from Cleveland to Seattle back in 2012 Amazon was fotting the bill for the move. We had a month to get everything set (including removing a hot tub and building bits of deck) and ready for the movers to come and pack for us.
We also had a far bigger house than we do now.
And it was crazy how much stuff that really didn’t need to be moved wound up making the trip out here.
This time, we have two full months to get ready. And we’ve already gotten to the point where we’re basically mostly done packing. There are a few random things still hanging around, and the stuff we’re using until we actually head out.
But we’re damn near packed already.
And there’s a lot less stuff for the movers to pack themselves.
