Home automation fail

En and I walked into our house after getting dinner at Duck Island a few blocks away. En calls out "Alexa, turn on the living room lights."

And Alexa basically says that it's not working.

We're now in a dark house and we have no way of turning on the lights.

Things like this is what makes me hesitant to truly buy into this style of home automation. When it fails, it fails in a highly annoying way.
