Almost Done

Ennie and I got the outside of the house done today. Except for a few minor bits that we're leaving for the end we are done. Things like replacing the Ring cameras with motion lights and a few bits of optional caulking are the only things left on the list.

On the inside we've moved on to starting to do the nice-to-haves. Things like filling in inconsequential nail holes and the like.

In one week's time I'll have a U-Haul in the driveway filled with all the stuff I'm going to be dragging across the country -- with Jackie being the co-driver to ensure that things are as safe as they can be.

So close.

And this is also the time when I'm starting to have time to think. Thinking causes angst. This is the time when I'm no longer even really sleeping.

I'm getting to the point where I just want to rip off the proverbial band-aid and just get on the road.
