Festool router edge planing

When I picked up my Festool OF-1400 router I also picked up a couple of accessories for it.

I will have to admit that I, apparently, didn't know how it even worked or what it was for. But today I used it in anger.

The combination of Festool's 486058 and 486052 allows me to use the router... sideways. It rides on the sideplate and then the bearing-ed router bit rides on the MDF part and the router bit just cuts the edging.

And this replaces a $1000 tool.

I also used a pin nailer on this, but that's another post. :-)
