Kindle Paperwhite - First Impressions

So after the rigamarole of getting the Kindle I finally got one today. It came partly charged so I was able to turn it on right away. No, I didn't do any unboxing since there's plenty of those on the net already. This is just me and my Kindle.I opted for the 3G version for the "just in case" moment. Do I really need it? Likely not, but there's enough travel involved that I'll be happy if I can use it the couple of times I really want to. I also opted for the one with the "special offers." I think they actually add value somehow. They don't get in the way of reading; it just shows up on the lock screen and the home screen -- it doesn't get in the way of the actual reading. And you might save some $$ in the process. So, what's it like?Up there I have the brightness turned most of the way down. It's on 8 of 24. An interesting observation I made is that the front-light never turns off, even at the minimum brightness! And cranked up it's more than bright enough. Honestly I don't know if I would ever even turn it up past 10 ever... I don't see the need.Yes, I know the screen looks the same, but look at my legs in the background! This is one of the few shots that you can see the LEDs that provide the front-lighting thought the film in from the of e-ink display. For the most part, in just reading, I don't see it at all. It's a lot better than what I've seen of the Nook glow-light.I have to say that the screen does look noticeably nicer than the previous generation Kindle.I'll read on it for a few days and report back, but so far I think we have a winner!  :-D
