Choose the Right

If you Google for "Choose the right" you get all sorts of Mormon stuff; I choose not to consider that.If you Google for "Choose the right equality" you get to ChooseTheRight.org.I managed, with a bit of doing, to squeeze my wedding ring onto my right ring finger. With a bit of ouch I took a picture. With a bit of Windex I was able to take it off. Yeah, feel free to start making jokes about my inherent asymmetry -- yeah, I know what you were thinking; it's OK...The right thing is marriage equality. It is (or rather will be) on the right side of history. It's like getting over the whole segregation thing. The populous wasn't necessarily in at the time, but in hindsight it is without question the right thing to have done.Marriage equality is the same that way. Even if the majority of people are close-minded bigots, it doesn't mean they are right. While I can't really wear my ring on my right hand (the whole pain thing), I support this wholeheartedly!

I am lucky to be in an area that supports this notion. I am happy for all the folks that got the opportunity to marry last weekend! This doesn't lessen the pain for everyone that can't yet.Hopefully this can be sorted soon!  :-D
