Oscilloscope!

Well, it finally came! So, for a first test I decided to hook it up to Ennie's grandfather's test keyer that I had blogged about a long while back. This time I didn't have to simulate a thing. In this case the yellow is the power to the circuit. It's dropping because there's a pretty high series resistance from the wiring from the battery and through the key itself. The blue is the voltage across the speaker. Oddly, it has two different modes seemingly depending on the resistance. It's either high or low pitched. Now I have the tools to investigate! Also, I've been playing around with a torn-down pager and I've found what looks like a data line. I've been playing around with trying to decode the packets of info that I seem to be seeing scroll by. Fun times!
