Tools and testing

I'm somewhat of a tool hound. I like test and measurement gear... and this is something that comes in handy at times.Over the weekend I was helping to characterize a peltier cooler with a power supply. We then tried to diagnose a NFC reader and Arduino with the scope and a logic analyzer. I think I had things hooked up too close to the antenna and was picking up too much of the power that the board was supplying. But then things start to get to things I can't test.A power supply for some LED lights decided to die after I set it to the correct voltage. I'm guessing a capacitor gave up the ghost from being run over voltage for months. But I can't test it.I don't have a way to provide a good load to the supply.A tool I don't have.A tool I'll need to get... to be able deal with things like this.Oh... and things like the USB power supply I'm working on.  :-)
