Hiding

I'm shy by nature. It's how I'm wired. I think a lot has to do with the fact that I can't recognize faces well at all.I tend to hide.Often behind a lens. The camera is my force field from the world.I'm still shy, but in so many ways the box with film or a sensor is my security blanket. It sees what I can't see as well. The paradox of the photographer, always on the wrong side of the lens and never in the shot. Perhaps it's the right side? Who knows?Ever since I was a boy I had a camera. I still have one. Well, more than one. Maybe too many. Is that a thing? My shield.Leica M7, Ilford HP5+, Summilux 50mm @ f/1.4. Shutter speed unrecorded (1/45s?), XTOL.
