Hot Leica on Leica Action

Leica is a strange company. Well, companies. Leica is a brand that is shared by four independent companies.I was walking around with my Leica and I spied someone using their Leica:Mine is from Leica Photography. His was produced by Leica Geosystems.This is a cool theodolite that's used in construction to accurately locate points on the ground (or above ground, as it were). It's based on the same principal of operation as my camera's rangefinder focusing system is.There's also Leica Microsystems which makes, unsurprisingly, microscopes. Some of these are pretty freakishly cool microscopes, though. Things like confocal microscopes that work a lot like MRIs but in the optical domain and optical coherence tomography for even deeper tissues.Then there's Leica Biosystems that doesn't even do optics for the most part -- this was a spin-off of the microsystems group -- they deal with tissue processing systems. You can think of it as the steps leading up to using a microscope on a tissue sample.In any case, I thought it was neat to take a picture of a Leica from a sister company with my own.Leica M10 + Simmucron 90mm @ f/5.6-ish, 1/250s, ISO 400.
