Bits from the past

En's grandpa was a ham radio operator and it was a bit part of his life. At some point En found, I think at an antique store, something that would very much fit that same thing.

It's moved with us a couple of times and I unpacked it from a box this afternoon.

Then I noticed the address in Cleveland.

This is just a few blocks from Cleveland State University where I studied for a bit. It's also just a bit down the road from a couple of jobs I worked in downtown Cleveland.

I'd been past that address countless times.

Today I looked at Google Street View for that address...

REPCO is no more, but the building is still there.

I wonder how long REPCO was around and what other companies occupied the space...

But I just find it amazing that the place from the cover shot of a catalog back from 1952 is just as recognizable today.
