Another net full of eggs!

I went out to the bard today to get to the tractor to mow the lawn between dumpings of rain. Like I've been doing lately I check on the nest that the barn swallows use.

Honestly I was expecting it to be as empty as it has been for the last two weeks... but then I snapped a picture with my phone (since I can't see into the nest without a boost, or just holding up my phone) and there they are! Another five eggs ready to go.

I did read that sometimes barn swallows will sometimes lay another clutch of eggs in a season -- so I guess these are productive little birdies that we've been sheltering. :-)
