Beets

Canned beets, from our garden! Preserved and good for a year!

This is our first experiment with canning. And so far, so good -- all of them passed the test of lifting by the lid so they are holding a good vacuum and the seal is fine.

Four of these have already been processed, and we have a bunch more still in the ground. This is just so damn cool!
