Chili cookoff - Reflections & Pictures
I'm sure you know we didn't win anything this year. I honestly think we had the best chili there with our Hungarian Pörkölt. It wasn't the normal Texas-style chili that people are used to so I'm guessing that the judges weren't used to it.Even though we didn't win, it was still a lot of fun to cook up the giant batch of the chili. We also had all of it get eaten too, which says a lot. We had people coming back for seconds and thirds and fourths so we're happy that we had a fan club going!Congrats to Rick's for winning for the second straight year -- though I have to say I still think ours was better. ;-)[smugmug url="http://photos.vec.com/hack/feed.mg?Type=gallery&Data=15645849_TagUj&format=rss200" imagecount="100" start="1" num="100" thumbsize="Th" link="lightbox" captions="false" sort="true" window="true" smugmug="true" size="L"]I just wish I had a stove like the Armory has... that would be super-awesome!
