PowerGen Rapid Smart Charger - Review

In my quest to get my bike a USB-only shop I think I solved the last problem: charging camera batteries.First: why USB only when I carry around an inverter? Simple: no fan. I want to be able to charge my stuff in the tank bag of my bike. Since it's a closed space, anything that would get hot enough to warrant a fan would wind up cooking itself without any air. With the tiny chargers I'm going to mod, I now have a convenient 5V power source in the form of a USB socket.I did a search on Amazon and found something that seemed to fit the bill: the PowerGen Rapid Smart Charger. I figured it's only $13 so what do I have to loose.It came in today and it's kinda cheap feeling (what do you really expect for $12.95?), but it's quite cool in operation. It has a hinge-down 120V plug and a dual-purpose USB port. If you plug it into the wall you can charge a USB device from it. If you plug in a USB to it, it'll charge a battery from the USB. Neat-o.Another feature is that typically we bring two cameras with us -- a primary and a backup. Problem there is that they have two difference sized batteries which then take two different changers. This things can charge both -- one less thing to pack! (*)Overall I think this can be defined as a win!The silly USB-to-USB plug seems kinda janky, but it's nothing a bit of electrical tape can't fix to make sure it doesn't slip apart. :-)* - Ok. You know I'm going to still have along the inverter since it's so small and the wall charger for the main camera. I hate to have a single point of failure for anything if I can't help it.
