Laziness

I often see people being very non-lazy. I think in a lot of cases it's a bad thing. If you're being lazy in something that doesn't matter, does it hurt anything?Conversely, let's take a look at being proactive in a way that does hurt. If you're doing something that you'll use once there's no reason to do a lot of work up front to save you a little time on the back-end of the project.Similarly, there's no reason to be too careful when building something that won't ever be seen. A good example is cutting flooring when a trim piece will cover the gap anyway.Slack is a good thing. The real key is making sure that you are globally lazy.Sometimes doing a little work will save a crapload of time later. Good. Do that. But if you're doing something to polish the proverbial turd... well... don't.
