I'm just wondering why they all have to suck for some reason or other.I remember when Chrome first came out. It was awesome. It was pretty thrifty with memory and it was fast. Starting it up cold was damn near instant. At the time I was using Firefox and that was starting to pork up a bit. Chrome was a breath of fresh air.Now I look at the memory footprint of Chrome and I'm just stunned. Stunned at how bad it is. And startup is no longer fast.I switched back to Firefox briefly. It was brief because it kept beachballing on scripts. Huh?Now I'm on Opera.But I can't get it to open PDFs inline. And as a further boot in the crotch, I can't seem to make one-click purchases with Amazon.But at least it's a bit thriftier with the memory.There has to be a middle ground. I just wish there was a "stop sucking" checkbox on Chrome since it does everything I want.
