Why I post
In the past month or so I've posted some controversial stuff. Why do I post here?In many ways the act of writing down my thoughts is a way of crystallizing those thoughts. Of course what I'm thinking about is determined, in large part, with what is around being talked about.I come at most of my posts with a lot of introspection and meditation. Very little of what actually forms my ideas comes from the media at large. It comes from me trying to put together a self-consistent view of the world. If you say one thing it should, ideally, be applicable to as wide of application as possible, with as few exceptions as possible. They are shaped by my belief in the individual and personal responsibility of those individuals -- this opposed to reliance in the government to live your life for you by controlling you. There needs to be a balance in all this as well -- things like Obamacare is a good example that I'll cover in a future missive. Most things aren't birthed fully formed but need some time to grow. Sometimes there is a definite lag between a thought or even and a post. One lag was for the one that brought about this blog in the first place. That one was brewing for the better part of a year. Why do I post?To help me rationalize my own views of both me, and, more broadly, the way the world works -- and how it should work. Debate helps too. :-)
