Ruby Beach Mist

L1009441Coming back from Deer Park campground we circumnavigated the Olympic peninsula counterclockwise today. We stopped at Ruby Beach as it was shrouded by a persistent mist that was rolling in off the Pacific Ocean. We wandered a ways beyond where the rest of the beach's population had gathered, perhaps a quarter mile to the south from where the trail from the parking lot led to the beach. It was peaceful. I liked the contrast of the dark of the hill covered in trees to the subtle tones of the sea melting into the clouds. The line is there -- you just have to look for it.Leica M Typ 240, 90mm APO Summicron M - 1/750s @ f/5.6
